A University of Chicago study revealed that physical training had a larger impact on student skill than passive learning in the field of science. Learning by doing rather than watching.Virtual training tools encourage the following: The tech industry often trains its clients on how to use new software through virtual means since learning retention is consistently higher. The interactive nature of virtual training labs enables the optimal conditions for knowledge retention.Virtual environments and lessons can be taken anywhere around the world using a simple browser.Physical classrooms are difficult to scale for larger groups of students as the cost of scheduling meetings rises exponentially with more clients.Without the need for physical travel, virtual classrooms are more convenient for both students and instructors.Virtual labs are much less expensive since the travel expenses, IT resources, and laboratory maintenance necessary for classroom lessons aren’t as prominent.Interactive and immersive learning through virtual training is replacing the passive learning style of traditional classrooms and training environments for several reasons, including: The Advantage of Virtual Training Labs Over Traditional Classrooms They have the benefit of in-person training with a real instructor. They are easily accessible by a larger portion of students. They can be accessed from any machine with an Internet connection. They offer a direct, interactive connection with the training environment.Virtual training tools offer a variety of benefits that make them an attractive choice for customer training and software demonstrations: ![]() A relatively recent innovation, virtual training platforms have become increasingly popular in the tech industry to train both employees and clients on the complexities of new software.ĬloudShare virtual training lab environment – classroom What Are Virtual Training Labs Benefits? Frankly, I’m torn on how to write this review. ![]() Weather Protection: With a weather-resistant design, the kasa outdoor smart plug ensures uninterrupted operation in rain, snow, or extreme temperatures.Enhanced Security: Schedule outdoor lighting or other devices to deter potential intruders when you're away, making your home appear occupied.Energy Efficiency: Monitor and optimize power usage for your outdoor devices, reducing energy wastage and lowering utility bills.Convenience: Control your outdoor devices from anywhere, anytime, eliminating the need to manually operate them.Compact and discreet design that blends well with outdoor environments. ![]()
![]() Aaron Dismuke, the voice of the 14-year-old Alphonse is excellent as well - not only does the irony of an adolescent voice coming from a six-foot-tall suit of armor succeed in getting a few chuckles, but the voice represents the character well. Vic Mignogna, the actor who plays Ed in the American cast is absolutely brilliant - the voice he provides is believable and emotionally charged, a task most voice actors tend to fail miserably at. Well-written dialogue, intense plot, and the best voice acting I've heard in a television series in a long time. But at a cost that they may be unwilling to accept. From that point on, Ed and Al set out to learn the secret of "Human Transmutation," the one Alchemic skill that would have any hope of bringing back their mother. An abomination that cannot move or think on its own. The thing they bring back is not their mother, but an inhuman creature composed of hastily put-together body parts - something that is human and yet not human. Now, you'd think that would be an equivalent enough exchange - two body parts and a whole body for their mother's life. To recap - Ed loses his right arm and right leg, and Alphonse's body is taken. In doing so, he makes yet another sacrifice - his right arm is lost to the demons of the abyss. Desperate to restore his brother's life, Edward uses his own blood to inscribe an Alchemic circle in a suit of armor, binding Alphonse's soul to the metal. This rule of "Equivalent exchange" states that "Nothing can be gained without first losing something of equal value." The boys succeed in resurrecting their mother, but at a horrible cost - Edward's left leg is taken, as is Al's body. Devastated, the boys decide to use the ancient art of Alchemy to bring her back to life - but there's one complication: The main rule of Alchemy. In a tragic accident, their mother is killed. The tragic story is of the two Elric brothers, Edward and Alphonse ("Al" for short). I myself am not a particularly big fan of anime - I enjoy one every so often, but this absolutely blew me away. I had heard about it many times form several of my friends who were die-hard fans of anime of any kind. ![]() ![]() With the work done by the seamstress, makeup/hair team, model, and myself we were able to create several beguiling images, and I thought I would share them with you all. When I had heard that Fullmetal Alchemst, one of the most popular cartoons in Japan was coming to America, I must admit, I was a bit excited. Here's an outtake as hair was being adjusted in the studio I feel the model's expression captures the character well:View image: In post processing, a bit of additional color correction and toning was performed, as well as adjusting the eyes to have slit-like pupils and a lovely purple hue:View image: View image: View image: Some of the shots taken are adaptive and look quite good in B&W:View image: View image: View image: And that's about it! It took a long time to come to fruition, and cost a non-insignificant amount of money to pull off, but in the end, I think it was worth it. A few shots of hair and makeup going on:View image: View image: View image: View image: Finally, Lust was born. A shorter, curly wig for the tight shots, and a long, straight wig for some concept shots. Anything is possible, given a large enough budget, but this was a personal project and I wasn't going to spend $1000 for copious amounts of human hair. After some research, it didn't seem feasible to try and get long, curly, waist length or longer hair for the shoot. This consideration, along with the ouroboros chest tattoo (to be applied with a stencil) lends itself well to airbrushed makeup, which was sourced from TEMPTU. The seamstress made a dress pattern and we met with the model to do a fitting:View image: For the makeup, the important thing was to get a nice even foundation on the face, chest, shoulders, and upper back. To this end, I hired a seamstress and met with her to pick out a fabric. I found the perfect model:View image: The next step was wardrobe. There were several things that needed to be worked out to make the shoot happen - model, hair, makeup, wardrobe. Eventually I netflixed the DVDs and watched the whole thing in order. For over a year, I've wanted to do a themed photo shoot of the character Lust. I got into Full Metal Alchemist watching it on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Due to the limited number of people able to fill positions within the city government, Compton effectively ceased to exist as a functioning city. By the end of the year, Compton was down to only eighty acres of land, with five remaining voters residing within that territory. In 1890, a series of votes were held by the residents of Compton, with the aim of shedding significant portions of the city. The first City Council meeting was held on May 14, 1888. On May 11, 1888, the city of Compton was incorporated with a population of 500 people. In January 1888, a petition supporting the incorporation of Compton was forwarded to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, who in turn forwarded the petition to the State Legislature. Compton donated his land to incorporate and create the city of Compton in 1889, but he did stipulate that a certain acreage be zoned solely for agriculture and named Richland Farms. A series of town meetings were held to discuss incorporation of their little town. īy 1887, the settlers realized it was time to make improvements to the local government. Many in the Compton party wanted to relocate to a friendlier climate and settle down, but as there were two general stores within traveling distance-one in the pueblo of Los Angeles, the other in Wilmington-they eventually decided to stay put. To gather firewood it was necessary to travel to mountains close to Pasadena. The weather continued to be harsh, rainy and cold, and fuel was difficult to find. ![]() Compton's earliest settlers were faced with terrible hardships as they farmed the land in bleak weather to get by with just the barest subsistence. However, to avoid confusion with the Camptonville located in Yuba County, the name was shortened to Compton. Originally named Gibsonville, after one of the tract owners, it was later called Comptonville. These families had traveled by wagon train south from Stockton, California, in search of ways to earn a living other than the rapid exhaustion of gold fields. In 1867, Griffith Dickenson Compton led a group of 30 pioneers to the area. ![]() The tree that marked the original northern boundary of the rancho still stands at the corner of Poppy and Short streets. The Domínguez family name is still applied throughout the area, including the Dominguez Rancho Adobe historical landmark, in the unincorporated community of Rancho Dominguez, located between the cities of Compton, Long Beach and Carson. Domínguez's descendants partitioned the land amongst family members, sold parcels to newly arriving settlers, and relinquished some when validating their legal claim with the Mexican government at 48,000 acres (190 km 2) in 1828, and with the United States government through a patent validating 43,119 acres (174.50 km 2) in 1858.
